Tetsujin 28: The Movie

TetsujinThe Movie is a 2005 Japanese live action film remake of the 1960s anime television series Tetsujin 28go.

The film is set in the modern era while still based on the original story, and emphasis is placed on the hero Shotaro Kanedas comingofage subplot. Both Black Ox and Tetsujinare CG in this film. Auditions, including a public offering were carried out at the beginning of the films production in order to determine the roles of the main character Shotaro Kaneda, the heroine Tachibana Mami, Aoi Yu and others that Akira would select from among applicants of nearly 10,000 people each.
